Brouillard is a combination of the piano as live instrument and the reproduction of prepared piano string sounds using different tunings. The pianist performs in this microtonal environment as in a haze with his well-tempered instrument. An interaction of new chords and colours results. Soft rustling 'sound veils' and fierce signals accompany the pianist, playing as if tentatively finding his way.
