Cours des nuages (1998, completed by Ad Wammes, 1999) for soundtracks and string orchestra

The score is written in 5/4, only as a means to mesure the time. The players should play as smoothly as possible. Accentuation of the first beat should be prevented at all times, unless otherwise indicated. Cours des nuages deals with the tone colours that result from the combination of well-tempered tonality (the string orchestra) and microtonality (the soundtracks). The orchestra should therefore avoid intonating to the soundtracks.
